Su-ho takes Ju-kyung away from the crowd so she can repair her makeup, leaving her unsure how much he knows. At Prince Comics, he questions her attempts to pretend that the girl at school is someone else. Her mother's arrival ends the performance, and a flashback shows that Su-ho had already read the note in her gift. Ju-kyung begs him to keep her secret and promises to do whatever he asks. His errands keep bringing them together, but she experiences them as another debt she must pay. Seo-jun also wants his helmet back, which Ju-young has sold through a resale app.
Ju-kyung agrees to perform at a talent event to settle things with Su-ho, only to dance in front of a school meeting instead. Her embarrassment follows her home, where she continues to worry that her classmates would despise her bare face. On another trip to get Su-ho a comic, strangers insult her appearance and injure her knee. She arrives in tears and tells him that her pain and secret are not things he should play with. Su-ho covers her with his jacket, buys supplies and treats the wound. Seo-jun sees their closeness, then confronts Su-ho at school about their dead friend. He sits beside Ju-kyung in the cafeteria, prompting Su-ho to grab him.
