All Happy Families...

Contains spoilers for this episode and earlier episodes.

Lorraine and Jason are killed after refusing to direct their payments to Johnny Sack, intensifying the New York dispute. Tony warns his men to stay out of it. Closer to home, Feech takes charge of the card game but continues behaving independently. He arranges the theft of cars from a wedding attended by Tony's friends and sends the vehicles through Johnny's associates, giving Tony another reason to question whether Feech accepts his authority.

Carmela's observation that Tony's men flatter him prompts him to test them with a weak joke. Everyone laughs except Feech, whose refusal to defer helps Tony decide to remove him. Christopher and Benny persuade Feech to store stolen televisions in his garage. A parole supervisor then arrives for an inspection and discovers them. Feech returns to prison on a bus, with Tony having arranged his departure through a violation rather than an assassination.

A.J. ignores Carmela's conditions for attending a concert and spends the night partying with friends instead of staying at Meadow's apartment. He comes home with his eyebrows shaved, and Tony accepts an implausible explanation. Exhausted by the conflict, Carmela sends him to live with his father. She meets school counsellor Robert Wegler for lunch and discusses her own difficulties as well as A.J.'s grades, then returns to an empty family house.
