A flashback shows Isaac, then a FEDRA soldier in Seattle, turning against his unit and joining Hanrahan’s resistance group, the WLF. Years later, Ellie and Dina enter Seattle and find the remains of the transport from Isaac’s defection. They locate a WLF position and wait for nightfall. Elsewhere, Isaac interrogates a Seraphite prisoner for information about the group’s plans; when the captive refuses to talk, Isaac kills him.

WLF soldiers arrive, and the women flee through a subway tunnel as infected swarm after them. During the escape, a clicker bites Ellie while she protects Dina. They reach a concert hall, where Dina points a gun at Ellie and demands an explanation. Ellie says she is immune, but Dina does not believe her.
By morning, Dina sees that Ellie has not turned and reveals that she is pregnant. Ellie responds with excitement, and the two kiss and begin a relationship. A stolen radio reports that Nora may know where Abby is. From the concert hall roof, Ellie and Dina see explosions across Seattle. Ellie tells Dina she can stay behind, but Dina chooses to go with her, and they set out together.
