Ayo gives Bucky eight hours before the Wakandans take Zemo, reminding him what freeing T'Chaka's killer means to them. The search for Karli leads to Donya Madani's memorial service. Sam persuades Walker to let him speak to her alone, hoping to stop the violence without another fight. Karli listens, but Walker interrupts to arrest her. Zemo shoots her and begins smashing the scattered serum vials, but Karli escapes.
Walker knocks Zemo unconscious and secretly pockets the one vial left intact. When the Dora Milaje arrive for Zemo, Walker challenges them and is quickly outmatched. Sam and Bucky step into the fight, but Zemo slips away. Afterwards, Walker asks Lemar whether he would take the serum. Karli meanwhile threatens Sarah and her children to force another meeting with Sam, who brings Bucky along and learns that Karli wants him on her side.
Sharon's warning about Walker interrupts the meeting. Sam reaches him during another confrontation and discovers that his strength has changed: Walker has taken the serum. The fight brings everyone together again, and Karli strikes Lemar into a pillar, killing him. Walker runs after Nico, although Karli was the one who killed Lemar. He pins Nico down in a public square and beats him to death with the shield as bystanders record it.
