The Boys transport Kenji by boat, intending to hand him over to Mallory while Kimiko tries to protect her brother. Butcher's attempt to repair his argument with Hughie fails, and the team remains divided over its captive. Meanwhile, Annie leaks the Compound V sample to the press. The news reveals that superheroes were manufactured, shocking members of the Seven as well as the public and forcing Vought to explain its concealed drug operation.
Homelander pushes Ryan from a roof to make him discover his powers. When Becca protests and Homelander grabs her, Ryan fights back. At sea, Kenji breaks free and brings down a pursuing helicopter. The Boys flee in a smaller boat, but the Deep blocks their route with a whale. Butcher drives through it, leaving the shaken group to continue through tunnels where the Seven are closing in.
Homelander finds Hughie with Annie and orders her to kill him as proof of loyalty. Butcher intervenes, and Kenji brings down part of the tunnel to delay Homelander. Stormfront chases Kenji and Kimiko through an apartment building, killing residents along the way, then murders Kenji while Kimiko watches. Vought presents Stormfront as the rescuer and blames Kenji for the deaths. Annie's exposure of Compound V has succeeded, but the company turns the pursuit into another story that protects its heroes.
