Episode 2

Contains spoilers for this episode and earlier episodes.

Hope's changes reach into the corridors, where students must follow painted lines and stricter rules. Ruby gives Otis a new wardrobe and treats his appearance as part of their arrangement, but he starts questioning how much of himself he should change to keep seeing her. Jackson objects to the removal of the school's painted wall, while Viv sees cooperation with Hope as a chance to advance. Their disagreement also draws Jackson closer to Cal, who is less willing to accept the new restrictions. Aimee asks for help finding a therapist after the assault, and Otis offers to speak to Jean.

Adam has trouble telling Eric what he wants from their relationship and turns to Otis for advice. Encouraged to find words in his own way, he eventually speaks honestly and also asks Miss Sands for help with schoolwork. Isaac and Maeve kiss, but he then confesses that he deleted Otis's voicemail and reveals that it contained a declaration of feelings. Maeve is furious that he made the decision for her and walks away. Jean tells Otis that Jakob and Ola will move in, while agreeing to meet Aimee. Otis insists on wearing his own clothes and asks Ruby for a proper relationship. They become an official couple. At school, Hope replaces Jackson with Viv as head student and announces compulsory uniforms.
