Elliot confronts Darlene about the surveillance on his computer, but she hides her cooperation with the FBI behind concern for her brother. He has searched his apartment for more bugs and now suspects that Mr. Robot continues Stage 2 while he sleeps. Darlene agrees to watch from Shayla's empty apartment next door. Their renewed cooperation gives Elliot someone who can observe the hours he cannot remember, even though she still conceals the people receiving her information.
Darlene follows Elliot when Mr. Robot takes control and sees him meet Angela. She loses them after they enter a taxi, but has learned that Angela is involved in the secret operation. At the warehouse, Tyrell is furious that Elliot has redirected the paper records. Mr. Robot tries to maintain control of the discussion, only for Elliot to surface unexpectedly. Angela sedates him before he can understand or disrupt what he has walked into.
With the attack deadline approaching, Angela promises to resolve the missing records and asks Price to have Elliot fired. The job she helped him obtain has become an obstacle to the bombing she wants to enable. Tyrell also questions whether he can trust Elliot, while Irving keeps him working with the promise of a future reunion with his family. Darlene tells Dom she has a lead to pursue, but insists on doing it without a wire.
