Dollard contacts Gloria about the financial records and explains the fraud involving Stussy Lots. Emmit takes Meemo's gun and confronts Varga, but Meemo overpowers him. Nikki and Wrench lure Varga's men into a warehouse ambush. Wrench kills Meemo and the gunmen, while Varga escapes. Nikki leaves most of the money with Wrench. Ruby Goldfarb takes control of Stussy Lots, leaving Emmit responsible for its debts.
Nikki intercepts Emmit on a deserted road after his car breaks down. She holds him at gunpoint over Ray's death, but a state trooper interrupts. When she reaches for her shotgun, she and the trooper shoot each other dead. Emmit escapes and goes to Stella, collapsing at her feet. Gloria arrives at the roadside after the shooting and finds that Nikki's attempt to avenge Ray has ended with two more deaths.
Five years later, Emmit has reunited with his family and Sy has survived with serious disabilities. Wrench enters Emmit's kitchen and shoots him dead. Later, Gloria, now a Homeland Security agent, questions Varga after his arrival at an airport under another name. She expects him to face arrest for his crimes. He calmly predicts that someone powerful will arrive and secure his release. They wait across the table as the clock runs down, and the episode ends before either prediction is confirmed.
