The betrayal shapes Alamo's determination never to be deceived by a woman again. In the present, Rue prevents his threatened attack by identifying Faye and promising to recover the stolen money. She persuades Faye to help provide access to Laurie's safe, invoking their history with Fezco and Ashtray.
