Claire stays at Matt's apartment while recovering from her abduction. He explains more about the senses that let him move through the city, and their closeness leads to a kiss. She identifies Vladimir as a name she heard while captive. Elsewhere, Vladimir receives Anatoly's mutilated body with a black mask planted among his belongings. Fisk has arranged the discovery to direct the brother's anger towards the vigilante while preparing his next attack.
Nelson and Murdock take Elena Cardenas's case against a landlord trying to force her from her home. Foggy confronts the lawyers representing him, including his former colleague Marci, while Karen helps repair Elena's damaged apartment. Matt visits the police and overhears corrupt officers murder a Russian prisoner after he mentions Fisk. His separate investigation exposes how little protection ordinary police procedure offers against the people controlling the neighbourhood.
Fisk tells his business partners that he killed Anatoly and plans to remove the Russians from their arrangement. Vanessa agrees to another dinner and asks him for honesty about his life. While she is with him, bombs destroy Russian properties across Hell's Kitchen, injuring people beyond the gang. Matt reaches Vladimir after the blast and attacks him, still seeking answers. Armed officers surround them before he can finish, leaving Matt with his hands raised and Vladimir wounded.
