Season synopsis
Contains spoilers for this season and earlier seasons.
Season two opens with the sisters still grieving Andy’s death, while Piper, Prue and Phoebe face the danger of Abraxas, who steals the Book of Shadows and reverses earlier vanquishing spells. Their struggle to reclaim the book gives Prue a reason to face her grief rather than withdraw from witchcraft. Their new neighbor Dan Gordon and his niece Jenny enter their lives, and Piper becomes caught between her feelings for Leo and the more available Dan. She also works to turn the struggling P3 into a viable club, while Prue leaves Buckland’s and Phoebe begins college.
Prue visits the camp where their mother drowned and meets Sam Wilder, Patty’s former Whitelighter and lover. When Piper becomes critically ill, her sisters use a spell to save her, but its personal-gain magic spreads the illness. They reverse it, Leo heals Piper, and the Elders suspend him. In the finale, a genie twists the sisters’ wishes: Prue becomes seventeen, Phoebe gains flight, and Dan rapidly ages. A Dragon Warlock kills the powerless Prue. The genie reverses the wishes, but Phoebe needs a fresh wish to restore Prue’s life. Reunited, the sisters defeat the warlock. Piper wishes away Dan’s knowledge of magic; another wish makes the genie human. Piper then leaves with Leo to meet the Elders.
