The investigators accept the explanation, but Hank questions whether Gus's name is real. Skyler starts hiding Walt's money under the house. Hank asks Walt to drive him to a mineral show, then reveals he plans to plant a tracker on Gus's car. Walt warns Jesse about Hank's investigation and urges him again to kill Gus. Walt initially pretends to attach the tracker, but Gus tells him to plant it. At Jesse’s house, Walt intercepts a text that makes him suspect Jesse is becoming loyal to Gus.
A flashback shows Gus and Max pitching their meth business to Don Eladio. Eladio resents Gus's use of samples to force a meeting and asks what Gus contributes. Hector shoots Max in front of Gus and forces him to watch. Eladio spares Gus, warning that his position in Chile no longer protects him. In the present, Gus visits Hector at the nursing home and demands that he look him in the eyes. Hector refuses, and Gus leaves with a promise that there may be another chance.
