Mike and Gus’s men raid Nacho’s home, remove his money and fake identification, and pay his girlfriends to leave town. They replace the safe with a prepared duplicate that points the Salamancas toward Nacho’s motel and a misleading trail. Hector doubts Lalo is dead, and Gus reads that suspicion as a sign that the danger has not passed. In Mexico, the Salamancas close in on Nacho, who is trapped between the cartel and the man who set the failed attack in motion. Nacho realizes Gus betrayed him, escapes a cartel raid in a stolen truck and calls Mike. Mike refuses Gus’s demand to hold Manuel hostage.
Jimmy and Kim bring Betsy and Craig Kettleman into their campaign against Howard. They trick the couple into believing Howard’s alleged cocaine use gives Craig grounds to sue, then steer them toward Cliff Main, who refuses because of his work with Howard. The Kettlemans approach other lawyers, spreading the rumor anyway, and later confront Jimmy after realizing he used them. Kim threatens to report their tax-preparation scam to the IRS unless they stop and repay the clients they cheated. Jimmy adds cash before they leave. As he and Kim drive away, an unknown car follows them, leaving the new danger unresolved. The lie takes hold.
