Authorities empty Saul Goodman’s lavish house in a flashforward, and Kim’s tequila stopper falls into the gutter. Earlier, Nacho flees Lalo’s compound to a motel designated by Gus’s men. He finds a gun, cash and a replacement phone, but Mike refuses his calls. Lalo survives, kills two tenants and substitutes one man’s body for his own. Bolsa reports a bounty on Nacho, while Gus doubts a supposedly successful hit that left every attacker dead. In Albuquerque, investigators challenge Jimmy over Lalo’s false identity in the Fred Whalen murder case. Jimmy accidentally uses Lalo’s real name before explaining away the slip.
Kim and Jimmy proceed with their plan to ruin Howard and accelerate the Sandpiper settlement. At a golf club, Kim watches Howard and Cliff while Jimmy gains access to the locker room. A confrontation with Kevin Wachtell becomes a distraction, allowing Jimmy to plant what looks like cocaine in Howard’s locker. Howard dismisses it as someone else’s property, but Cliff is unsettled. Meanwhile, Lalo calls Hector before crossing the border. Hector urges him to obtain proof of Gus’s betrayal. Realizing the evidence lies elsewhere, Lalo abandons the crossing, kills the smugglers who refuse his refund and drives away in their truck.
