In the HHM mailroom years earlier, Jimmy watches Kim impress Chuck while the firm celebrates a successful case. Chuck dismisses Jimmy’s congratulations, and Jimmy quietly enters the law library. In the present, Kim arranges to join Schweikart & Cokely as head of banking, giving her more room for defense work. She tells Jimmy that Rich approached her. He briefly panics in the restaurant kitchen before returning to encourage her decision.
News that Mrs. Strauss has died leaves Jimmy distressed, and he watches the commercial he made with her. He collects his inheritance from Howard, who admits HHM is losing clients, then delivers an aggressive pep talk. Jimmy buys more prepaid phones. When the teenagers who robbed him return, Huell and Man Mountain seize them and suspend them upside down among piñatas. The men smash nearby piñatas while Jimmy demands that the terrified teenagers leave him alone.
Mike and Gus prepare warehouse accommodation for Werner’s construction crew, with entertainment and strict security. Kai’s attitude troubles Mike, but Werner vouches for him. Mike also apologizes to Stacey for his conduct at the support group, and she allows him to see Kaylee again. At Hector’s bedside, Gus describes trapping an animal that damaged his fruit tree and deliberately keeping it alive to suffer.
