Breathe

Contains spoilers for Better Call Saul season 4 episode 2 and earlier episodes.

Jimmy interviews at Neff Copiers during his law-license suspension and notices a valuable Hummel figurine. When the owners hesitate, he talks them into hiring him immediately, then contemptuously rejects their offer because they failed to investigate him. Later, he checks the figurine’s value online and calls Mike. Kim meets Howard and Rebecca to discuss Chuck’s estate, which includes five thousand dollars and a sealed letter for Jimmy. Once Rebecca leaves, Kim condemns Howard for burdening Jimmy with his guilt over Chuck’s death. She takes the documents home but postpones giving them to Jimmy, uncertain how to help him through the loss.

Lydia confronts Mike about conducting real Madrigal inspections when his consulting role was meant only to launder money. He argues that actual work makes the payments defensible, and Gus tacitly approves. Gus also arranges specialist treatment for Hector and reviews his medical records, confirming his suspicions about Nacho. At the chicken farm, Arturo pressures Gus’s men into supplying an extra kilo of drugs. As he boasts outside, Gus ambushes him and suffocates him with a plastic bag. Nacho can only watch. Gus reveals that he knows Nacho tried to kill Hector and that the Salamancas do not, forcing Nacho under his control.
