Jimmy’s unapproved commercial brings him before the Davis & Main partners. Cliff gives him another chance, but the firm will watch him closely. Kim is also reprimanded at HHM for failing to warn Howard and Chuck before the ad aired. Jimmy tries to apologize, then discovers Kim has been sent back to document review. He visits Chuck and sits with him through the night, but the brothers argue the next morning about Chuck’s refusal to stand up for Kim.
Jimmy offers to quit practicing law if Chuck will help Kim. Chuck refuses, saying Jimmy harms the people around him while failing to admit his own mistakes. The rebuke leaves Jimmy with no easy way to repair the damage. At the same time, Nacho asks Mike to help deal with Tuco, whose drug use and unpredictable behavior could expose Nacho’s secret business.
Mike considers killing Tuco, then decides that would bring dangerous retaliation. Instead, he buys time and stages a minor parking-lot collision. He provokes Tuco into beating him while the police arrive; they arrest Tuco for assault with a deadly weapon after finding his gun. Nacho pays Mike for the outcome, but Mike gives no explanation for going to such lengths to keep Tuco alive.
