Police break into Chuck’s house after his neighbour reports a stolen newspaper. Mistaking his unusual living conditions for a drug operation, they use a taser on him. Meanwhile, Jimmy tries to turn publicity from his billboard rescue into paying work. The prospective clients include people with grandiose schemes and impractical demands, but Mrs. Strauss offers a more promising appointment. She wants a will dividing her Hummel figurines among friends and relatives, including a valuable Alpine Shepherd Boy. Jimmy offers a split payment, but she pays his entire fee in cash. Kim suggests that his rapport with older people could support an elder-law practice.
Their conversation is interrupted by Howard’s call about Chuck’s hospitalization. A doctor secretly switches on the bed’s electrical controls without triggering Chuck’s symptoms, challenging his explanation for his illness. Jimmy refuses her recommendation of psychiatric commitment. He briefly threatens to commit Chuck to force an HHM buyout, then admits to Kim that he meant to frighten Howard. Back home, Chuck questions the billboard incident, and Jimmy promises to follow the rules. Jimmy adopts a Matlock-inspired appearance and promotes himself at an assisted-living facility. Elsewhere, Mike watches a woman’s house from his car. Philadelphia police later visit him at home, and he recognizes one of the officers.
