A flashback to Jimmy’s Chicago scam days shows him and Marco Pasternak tricking a stranger over a fake Rolex. In Albuquerque, Jimmy gives the Kettlemans the chance to hire him, but they offer a bribe to keep quiet about the $1.6 million they stole. He accepts the money as a retainer, then spends it on a flashy billboard that copies the look of HHM and its senior partner, Howard Hamlin.
Kim confronts Jimmy over the stunt, and Howard takes him to court for trademark infringement. The judge orders the billboard removed. Jimmy cannot persuade news outlets to cover his complaint, so he hires a small crew to film a plea for sympathy as workers take the sign down. When one worker slips and hangs from his safety harness, Jimmy climbs up and pulls him to safety while cameras record the rescue.
The footage turns Jimmy into a local news hero, though Kim and Howard suspect he may have arranged the incident. At home, Chuck searches a neighbor’s newspaper for the story after Jimmy hides his own copy. Chuck believes he must avoid electricity, but crosses the street to get the news. The publicity brings Jimmy attention, while Kim remains unsure what to make of his methods.
