Season synopsis

Orphaned sisters Vi and Powder grow up in Zaun under the care of Vander, alongside Mylo and Claggor. A break-in at an inventor’s Piltover home leaves Powder with unstable blue crystals; when Silco’s men move against Vander, she uses them to try to save her family. The blast leaves them believing Mylo, Claggor and Vander are dead. Vi, overwhelmed by grief, leaves Powder behind, and Silco takes the child in. Years later, Powder has become Jinx, his volatile protégé, while Vi has spent much of that time imprisoned.
Jayce and Viktor develop Hextech from arcane crystals. Their technology transforms Piltover and draws the cities closer to open conflict. Investigating Jinx’s Progress Day attack, Piltover enforcer Caitlyn helps Vi leave prison; the sisters eventually reunite. They also encounter Ekko and the Firelights, who resist Silco’s expanding control of Zaun. Viktor’s worsening illness drives him toward the dangerous Hexcore, while Jayce enters politics and learns what his inventions can do in a raid on Silco’s Shimmer operation. He offers Zaun independence if Silco ends production and gives up Jinx and the gemstone. At a tense family reunion, Jinx kills Silco during a struggle, then launches a Hextech-powered rocket at the Council as it approves peace. The season ends before the attack’s consequences are known.
