Spoilers for this episode.
Tony tells Jack that Ryan Burnett has information about an imminent attack by General Juma's soldiers. Jack returns to the White House while Chloe conceals Burnett's name in the recovered files, hoping to prevent a routine arrest from cutting off their chance to question him. President Taylor meets Senator Mayer to discuss Jack's role in the day's rescues. Mayer resists her request to excuse Jack from the investigation. Janis finds tampering in Chloe's work and recovers an encrypted conversation with Jack. Larry orders Chloe detained and warns the White House. Jack has already seized Burnett and is using an electrical weapon to force him to name the target.
Burnett admits that Juma's unit is moving, but Taylor interrupts before Jack obtains its destination. Security arrests Jack, while Bill learns from Tony that his separate lead is no longer available for questioning. Renee follows Juma's soldiers to a boat and climbs aboard as they leave. Her phone is damaged in the water and she loses her gun, leaving her unable to report what she finds. After the commandos depart underwater, she discovers a diagram identifying the White House as their target. Laurent Dubaku spots her and fires, forcing her into the river while he follows in a smaller boat. Juma's team reaches the rocks beneath the White House and begins drilling.
