Jack and Chase return to CTU trying to understand how Saunders escaped the surrounded building. Chloe finds missing frames in the satellite recording, and Adam confirms that someone with internal access removed them. Tony continues to conceal Michelle's kidnapping, giving Chloe a false explanation for her disappearance. Meanwhile, Saunders lets Tony hear his wife briefly and demands that he bring Jane out of CTU.
Sherry approaches Senator Keeler with a way to force Palmer from the election. She describes Milliken's death, Palmer's false alibi and the prescription bottle she kept as evidence. In return for using it against her former husband, she wants a place in Keeler's administration. Palmer hears of their meeting but insists that stopping Saunders remains his immediate concern. Keeler subsequently asks to see him in person.
Jack catches Tony lying about a scheduled call to Division and takes command. Saunders forces Tony to stop a telephone trace by threatening Michelle again. Chloe then recovers enough audio to hear that Tony has been speaking to Saunders about his wife. Before she can report it, Tony locks her inside the technical room and takes Jane after knocking out her guard. Kim notices Chloe's inactive station, prompting Jack and Chase to find her. She explains Saunders's leverage, but Tony has already driven Jane out of the complex.
