Dark Souls Remastered: Bell Gargoyles
On this page
Upgrade one weapon with Andre before trying to overpower this fight. On the roof, stay on the same level as the first gargoyle so slopes do not make your swings miss or send a knockback toward an edge. Work from the side after a halberd attack rather than standing directly in front of it.
The second gargoyle arrives after the first has taken enough damage, so do not spend all your healing chasing a quick kill. Once it appears, separate their roles. The newer gargoyle often creates fire pressure while the first closes with the halberd. Circle until one commits, punish that one, then move again. Letting both stand in front of you is the moment the fight unravels.
In Human form, Solaire’s sign is in front of the fog gate after you have spoken to him in Undead Burg. Lautrec can also be available if you opened his Parish cell and later spoke to him at Firelink. A summon changes the boss health, so use one when it gives you time to learn the roof rather than assuming more bodies always mean an easier kill. Ring the bell after the win and return downstairs to Andre and Embers.
