The Sight
Lionkit, Hollykit and Jaykit belong to ThunderClan and are the grandchildren of its leader, Firestar.
About
The Sight is a children's fantasy novel by Erin Hunter, published in April 2007 as the opening book of the Warriors: Power of Three sequence.
The three kits of ThunderClan slip out of camp to track a fox and her cubs and have to be rescued by a patrol. Soon afterwards their apprenticeships begin: Hollypaw goes to the medicine cat Leafpool, while Lionpaw and Jaypaw are given warriors to train them. At a Gathering of the Clans two strangers appear, and the older cats recognise one of them as Graystripe, who had been thought dead since humans took him away. His return causes trouble at home, because Firestar had already named Brambleclaw as his deputy and now has two claimants to the position.
Firestar sends Leafpool to the Moonpool to ask StarClan what he should do and is told that the choice must be his own. Jaypaw follows her there and is found out, and the argument about the deputy runs alongside the training of the three apprentices and a growing hostility towards cats not born into a Clan.
