Sunrise

Sunrise is a children's fantasy novel by the author collective known as Erin Hunter, published in 2009. It is the sixth and final book of the Power of Three arc in the Warriors series, which is written by a team of authors under a single name.

The series follows the warrior Clans, groups of wild cats who hold territories, follow a code and meet under truce. The killing of a cat named Ashfur, found on the border with WindClan, has set the four Clans against one another, and the initial suspicion falls on a neighbouring Clan before other possibilities are considered.

Most of the book belongs to the three cats of the prophecy: Jayfeather, who is determined to establish who his parents really are; Hollyleaf, who is shaken by the way her Clanmates have behaved; and Lionblaze, who sees events he would rather not have witnessed. The title was originally going to be Cruel Season, and it was changed because the publisher thought that was too dark for the audience.
