The Poison Jungle
Sundew has wanted to destroy the HiveWings since she was old enough to understand what they did to her tribe, and it is the whole purpose of her life.
About
The Poison Jungle is a fantasy novel by the American writer Tui T. Sutherland, published in 2019. It is the thirteenth book of the Wings of Fire series.
The series is set on a continent inhabited by tribes of dragons, and after an earlier cycle about a prophecy and a war among them, this sequence moves to the neighbouring land of Pantala, where the HiveWings have taken the trees away and pressed the other tribes into service. Sundew is a LeafWing, a member of a tribe that had every tree on the surface destroyed and now lives hidden in a jungle that will kill anyone who does not know it. She has been raised to avenge that, and the book follows her as the plans she has committed to meet the reality of the people involved, including the LeafWings themselves. Sutherland writes each volume from the point of view of a different young dragon, so the series moves around its world as it grows.
Wings of Fire has run to well over a dozen novels along with graphic adaptations, and this book is part of the third cycle of the series.
