The Dragonet Prophecy

The Dragonet Prophecy is a fantasy novel by the American writer Tui T. Sutherland, published in 2012 and the first book of the Wings of Fire series.

The dragonets have been kept under a mountain in the Claws of the Clouds Mountains for as long as they can remember, because the prophecy says that five of them will put an end to the war being fought by the queens Blister, Blaze and Burn. What they know of the world comes from their keepers and from one another, and the five are not all alike; not all of them were meant to be in the group at all. They meet Queen Scarlet, and the meeting does not go the way they need it to, and most of the group ends up captive in the Sky Kingdom. The book follows them as they begin to decide how much of the prophecy they believe and who they can rely on.
