The Darkest Hour
Tigerstar's ambition has brought the forest to the edge of disaster, and ThunderClan is facing the worst moment in its history.
About
The Darkest Hour is a fantasy novel by Erin Hunter and the sixth and final book of the original Warriors sequence. It was published on 1 October 2004.
The series is built around four Clans of wild cats that share a forest, and this volume brings their long argument to its crisis. Tigerstar's pursuit of power has put every Clan in danger, and the only way through it involves a prophecy from StarClan that does not explain itself: four will become two, lion and tiger will meet in battle, and blood will rule the forest. Firestar leads ThunderClan, having taken over from Bluestar after she drowned saving her Clan from a pack of wild dogs, and the book carries the story straight on from the previous volume towards the battle for the forest. Tigerstar tries to bring the Clans under a single leader and names the alliance TigerClan, and when WindClan and ThunderClan refuse to join he brings in BloodClan, a group of rogues from the alleys of human towns who answer only to their own leader, Scourge.
