Macrieve
Uilleam MacRieve believed he had put the ghosts of his boyhood to rest, until a brutal torture revives them and destroys his Lykae instinct, leaving him craving death.
About
Macrieve is a paranormal romance by the American writer Kresley Cole, published in 2013. It is the thirteenth book in her Immortals After Dark series, and it stays with the MacRieve family of the Lykae clan.
Uilleam MacRieve is a proud Scot and a werewolf who believed he had dealt with the ghosts of his boyhood. When he is tortured, the old agonies come back and his own Lykae instinct is destroyed, which leaves him wanting nothing so much as oblivion.
Chloe Todd is a young human woman who is seized for an auction block and has to enter a world of monsters and old stories as a bound slave. When she is offered up to the immortals she turns out to be the person who brings Uilleam back from the edge, and the novel works out whether the two of them can survive the people who intend to use them both. It is the thirteenth book of the series, and its two leads are the pair it has to bring together. The book reached the New York Times bestseller list on publication.
