Emily waits with her wounded father at an extraction point and presses him about Juliet's suicide. Flashbacks follow the night Juliet discovered the record of William's behavior inside Westworld. Ford had given him a data card containing his profile; Juliet overheard his confession, retrieved the card and left it for Emily before taking her own life. William's public reputation concealed the violence his family was beginning to uncover.
William decides that Emily's knowledge of the card proves she is a host sent by Ford. He kills the arriving rescue team and then shoots his daughter. Finding the card in her hand exposes his mistake. He wanders away, considers killing himself and instead cuts into his arm, now doubting his own humanity. His suspicion has destroyed the person who came to bring him out of the park.
At the Mesa, Charlotte turns Clementine into a weapon that makes nearby hosts attack one another. Bernard delivers Ford's message to Maeve, then resists Ford's instruction to kill Elsie and deletes his code. Leaving Elsie behind, he heads toward the Forge, where Delos stores its guest replicas. Dolores and Teddy also approach the valley, fighting Ghost Nation hosts on the way. Teddy refuses to kill a fleeing survivor. He tells Dolores that her changes have made him into something he cannot bear and shoots himself, leaving her beside his body.
