Redanian Intelligence

Contains spoilers for this episode and earlier episodes.

Triss arrives at Kaer Morhen to help Ciri understand abilities that sword practice cannot explain. Geralt hopes she can guide the princess and investigate the creatures pursuing her. Their examination finds stellacite in the monsters' remains, linking them to the monoliths. Ciri admits that her scream brought down the monolith outside Cintra while she escaped Cahir. Geralt promises to investigate rather than blame her, then seeks Istredd's knowledge through a portal. Vesemir finds another clue in the flowers growing where Ciri has bled.

Yennefer and Cahir are fugitives, unable to rely on her magic for escape. In Oxenfurt they travel through the sewers with elves trying to reach the Sandpiper, a smuggler helping refugees into Cintra. The contact turns out to be Jaskier. He agrees to get them onto a ship, despite his difficult history with Yennefer and his anger at Geralt. Their departure nearly fails when the bard quarrels with a dock guard over criticism of his song.

An elf draws the guard's attention and allows the others to reach the boat. Yennefer discovers Jaskier has not followed and finds his broken lute, leaving her torn between escape and helping him. Elsewhere, Dijkstra argues that Redania can exploit Calanthe's death to claim Cintra. His plans turn displaced elves into possible informants as persecution drives more people toward Nilfgaard's shelter.
