Artie struggles with falling business at Nuovo Vesuvio and resents Tony's enthusiasm for a rival restaurant. Fraud investigators then discover that customers' credit-card numbers are being stolen. Artie learns that his hostess, Martina, is helping Benny with the scheme, fires her and confronts Benny at his home. Artie wins their fight, but Tony forces the two men to make peace and has Benny's parents celebrate their anniversary at the restaurant.
Artie undermines the truce by making a sexual joke about Martina in front of Benny's pregnant wife. Benny follows him into the kitchen and forces his hand into boiling tomato sauce. Elsewhere, the Italian assassins receive weapons and directions from Corky, then kill Rusty and his bodyguard. Christopher, meanwhile, travels with Little Carmine to Los Angeles to approach Ben Kingsley about Cleaver, leaving his criminal responsibilities behind while he pursues the casting opportunity.
Kingsley shows little interest in the film, while Christopher becomes fascinated by the expensive gifts celebrities receive. After Kingsley rejects the role, Christopher summons Murmur, who finds him intoxicated. They press Kingsley for access to more gifts, then Christopher masks himself and mugs Lauren Bacall for her awards-show gift bag. Back home, Tony rebukes his absence rather than welcoming the stolen presents. Artie returns to cooking, preparing a rabbit dish from a family recipe book.
