Christopher meets filmmaker Jon Favreau through his cousin Greg and Greg's fiancée, development executive Amy Safir. Adriana has rescued Christopher's discarded screenplay, and the meetings give him another opening into the film business. He provides dialogue advice and tells Favreau a gruesome story about a mob attack. Christopher later finds a version of that story in a script, which angers him because material he shared privately has become something another writer can use.
Christopher begins an affair with Amy and imagines their professional connection might become something lasting. She makes clear that her interest does not extend to the future he proposes. Meanwhile, A.J. crashes Carmela's car and resists his confirmation after developing questions about God and the purpose of life. Melfi helps Tony understand the ideas his son is encountering. Livia offers A.J. a far bleaker explanation, telling him that life ultimately amounts to nothing.
Pussy attends A.J.'s confirmation celebrations while wearing an FBI wire. He speaks warmly to the boy about Tony's care for other people, then retreats to the bathroom and cries, caught between his affection and his cooperation with investigators. Christopher faces a decision of his own when Tony demands that he choose the film business or the family. He pauses outside on the steps before returning indoors, accepting Tony's condition and remaining with the others.
