Season synopsis

Barry faces a prophecy that he will disappear during the coming Crisis, while Dr Ramsey Rosso searches for a way to survive his blood disease. Ramsey becomes Bloodwork, controlling infected blood and creating followers. After a transfusion saves Ralph, Barry is infected and becomes Dark Flash. Iris and Cisco refuse to abandon him; Allegra’s ultraviolet power helps the team reverse the infection, and Barry defeats Ramsey before Crisis arrives.
During Crisis, the Flash of Earth-90 sacrifices himself in Barry’s place. Oliver’s sacrifice helps restore reality, leaving the survivors in a changed world. Iris investigates McCulloch Technologies and is pulled into the Mirrorverse, where she meets Eva McCulloch. Eva uses mirrors to create duplicates of Iris and Kamilla while the originals remain imprisoned. Barry eventually realizes that the woman beside him is a copy, and Eva’s agents work to drain his dwindling speed.
Eva escapes into the real world and targets her husband, Joseph Carver, as she takes control of McCulloch Technologies. Team Flash tries to protect Carver from her and from the Black Hole assassins, but Eva kills him during the confrontation. She then presents herself publicly as his rescued widow, resumes her position at the company and frames Sue Dearbon for his murder. Joe returns from witness protection, while Caitlin and Frost leave to recover from their injuries. The season ends with Iris trapped in the Mirrorverse, where she begins to crack and vanish, with no confirmed way for Barry to reach her.
