Annie interrupts a Vought shareholders' event with footage of Homelander abandoning Flight 37, but Sage and Ashley dismiss it as fake. Hughie, Frenchie and Mother's Milk remain imprisoned in a Freedom Camp, where news of their coming execution is meant to draw out their rescuers. Homelander stops their own escape attempt and waits for Butcher. The prisoners are bait, but leaving them there means accepting the deaths he has announced.
Butcher recruits Kimiko and Annie, despite the resentment left by his killing of Neuman and taking the virus. A-Train initially refuses to assist because his family is still in danger. Butcher finds a tunnel-digging Supe, the Worm, and uses him to reach the camp. Annie's burst of light creates a chance for the prisoners to scatter, while Mother's Milk kills Love Sausage and Kimiko is reunited with Frenchie.
Homelander pursues the escaping group and nearly kills Hughie. A-Train intervenes, carrying him away and drawing Homelander into a chase that lets the others survive. He almost escapes, but swerves to avoid a woman and crashes. Homelander catches and kills him after A-Train refuses to show fear. The Boys are together again, but the speedster who first destroyed Hughie's life dies saving it, ending his attempt to protect both his family and the people he once helped Vought hurt.
