Butcher tells the Boys about a virus capable of killing Supes and recruits Stan Edgar from prison to locate Neuman's supply. Edgar takes them to a farm where the research has gone wrong. Neuman arrives, and the enemies must cooperate when animals dosed with Compound V attack them. They find Sameer Shah, Zoe's father, hiding with the final usable virus sample while superpowered sheep prevent an ordinary escape.
The group uses the remaining virus to infect a body and kill the sheep that feed on it. Sameer disappears during the confusion, leaving an apparent severed-leg explanation for his death. Mother's Milk returns Edgar to custody because the virus has been spent, but Neuman frees him by killing his escort. Butcher later reveals that he has kidnapped Sameer himself and removed his leg, keeping the scientist alive to produce another supply.
At the hospital, Hugh Sr.'s recovery turns disastrous as his new ability lets him pass through people and walls while his awareness deteriorates. Hughie finally helps him die peacefully after he regains clarity. Frenchie turns himself in over his past killings. At Vought, Ashley and A-Train's attempt to conceal the real leak ends with Cameron Coleman blamed and killed. Homelander tells the Seven to prepare for a role built on punishment rather than celebrity.
