Following Popclaw's information, the Boys investigate a noodle shop linked to Compound V and find a young woman locked in a basement cage. Frenchie frees her despite the others' objections. She kills her captors and escapes, leaving the group to work out whether they have rescued a prisoner or released another danger. Their search also reveals signs that the drug was being used on her as an experiment.
Hughie goes bowling with Annie while Butcher tells him to turn the date into surveillance. Their conversation gives him more reasons to feel guilty: she describes Translucent as a father, and Hughie is still troubled by killing him. He nevertheless secretly compromises her phone. Frenchie tracks the escaped woman to Penn Station, where he tries to connect with her desire to go home rather than treat her as a target.
A-Train catches the woman, but Frenchie draws a crowd around him and gives her another chance to escape. The Boys eventually corner and sedate her. At sea, Homelander and Maeve board a hijacked passenger plane, only for Homelander to destroy its controls. He refuses Maeve's pleas to save any passengers and makes her leave with him. After the crash, he claims delayed military access prevented a rescue, using the abandoned passengers to promote Vought's military ambitions.
