Kendall, Shiv and Roman prepare to pitch The Hundred, a new media venture, while Logan celebrates his birthday in New York without them. Tom calls Shiv to tell her he has met Naomi Pierce, exposing Logan's renewed interest in buying Pierce Global Media. Kendall and Shiv want to drop their own project and compete for Pierce. Roman worries that anger at Logan and Tom is driving the decision, but joins them. At Logan's party, Connor worries about the cost of keeping his presidential campaign's tiny share of support. Tom asks Logan whether a divorce from Shiv would threaten his job, and gets no firm reassurance.
Logan leaves the gathering for a meal with Colin and talks about death before returning to the bidding. His children visit Nan Pierce, who presents herself as reluctant to discuss money while encouraging a higher offer. They raise their bid to ten billion dollars, winning her agreement and beating their father. Logan responds with an angry phone call rather than congratulations. Back in New York, Shiv finds Tom in their apartment when she arrives to collect clothes. He wants to discuss what went wrong between them, but she presses ahead with the divorce. They lie beside each other without resolving their hurt, while Logan watches ATN and complains to Cyd about its broadcast.
