Samsan Tech moves into its Sandbox office, and Dal-mi chooses Ji-pyeong as the team's mentor rather than Alex. Their celebration soon gives way to an argument over shares. Ji-pyeong says investors need a clear person with control of the company, but the founders' proposed split does not provide one. Chul-san and Yong-san resent the possibility of losing influence after supporting the business from its beginning, while Dal-mi struggles to assert her authority.
The quarrel recalls the friends' earlier experience with ransomware. Do-san solved the attack on Chul-san's workplace, and Yong-san arrived with money intended to help before joining their venture. Their history makes the ownership decision painful. After a frightening but temporary accident involving Chul-san's eyes, the friends reconcile and agree to support Do-san. Dal-mi puts him in possession of the largest shareholding while remaining chief executive herself, and tells Sa-ha to commit to the team if she wants shares.
Ji-pyeong answers Dal-mi's many business questions, even while warning that leadership sometimes requires unpopular decisions. Do-san also tries to explain why the investor helped him deceive her, claiming they are close like brothers. He later decides that the truth about the letters should come out. When he visits Won-deok, however, he recognizes her from the eye clinic and realizes she is losing her sight. She wants the condition kept from Dal-mi, and their introduction proceeds under the old pretence.
