Sang-woo's command to move forward throws the opposing tug-of-war team off balance. Gi-hun and his teammates recover their footing, pull together and win, watching the other players fall. Back in the dormitory, they barricade their sleeping area and arrange watches against another attack. Gi-hun also warns Deok-su that the men around him may turn on their leader as easily as they turn on strangers.
Jun-ho's stolen identity brings him into an organ-smuggling operation beneath the facility. Corrupt guards move selected bodies into a hidden operating room, where Player 111 removes organs in exchange for advance information about the games. When the doctor cannot obtain the next clue, he panics and breaks their arrangement. The Front Man discovers the cheating and kills those responsible, declaring that the advantage violates the equality he claims the contest provides.
Jun-ho confronts the guard accompanying him through the underground route, hoping to learn whether his brother was among the victims. The man's account does not match that fear, and he reveals the location of the player records before Jun-ho shoots him. A search begins after the Front Man discovers that an intruder remains inside. Jun-ho reaches the archives and finds decades of competition files. The winners' list names Hwang In-ho as Player 132 in the 2015 game, proving that his missing brother once won the contest.
