Season 6

Season synopsis

Contains spoilers for this season and earlier seasons.

A schoolboy uses a KG-9 sold by SAMCRO to Arcadio’s gang in a school shooting, bringing prosecutor Tyne Patterson after the club. After Pope’s death, Jax tries to move SAMCRO away from gunrunning. Clay, still imprisoned, takes over the Kings’ gun run and works with Galen against Jax. The Irish rig a keg with a bomb and destroy the clubhouse; Jax, Chibs and Abel escape just before it goes off. Later, Jax frees Clay from a prison transport, then shoots Galen while the other Sons kill his guards. After a club vote, he kills Clay and stages their deaths as a deal gone wrong. He secures a way for the Irish to use August Marks instead of SAMCRO, ending the club’s gun arrangement.

Tara keeps trying to take her sons out of Charming: she works with Wendy and seeks witness protection by offering evidence to Patterson, while Jax starts an affair with Colette. Tara fakes a miscarriage to put distance between Gemma and the boys. Jax agrees to surrender himself for the gun charges, clearing Tara of the charges and giving her a chance to leave the life behind.

Jax finds Tara and their sons at a park and tells her he will not hurt them. Unser gives Gemma a false version of the agreement, and she believes Tara ratted on Jax. Gemma attacks Tara, tries to drown her in the sink, then kills her with a carving fork. Juice arrives with Sheriff Roosevelt, shoots the sheriff and helps Gemma cover up the killing. Jax comes home ready to turn himself in, finds both bodies, and is discovered beside Tara by Patterson’s team.
