Season synopsis

Cameron Hayes takes Abel to Belfast, leaving Jax and Tara divided by grief and fury. SAMCRO follows the trail across the Atlantic, while Gemma becomes a fugitive after Stahl blames her for Edmond's murder; she later risks arrest to see her ailing father. In Belfast, the Sons find that Abel's whereabouts are tangled in a power struggle: priest Kellan Ashby wants SAMCRO to kill Jimmy O'Phelan and withholds the child to force Jax into the job. The search also uncovers the secret that Maureen Ashby's daughter Trinity is John Teller's child.
Back in Charming, Salazar and the Calaveras target the club and its allies, while developer Jacob Hale tries to push redevelopment and weaken SAMCRO's hold on town. Tara becomes pregnant and considers ending it; her relationship with Jax frays further when she finds him with Ima. Jax secretly offers Stahl information on Jimmy and the Real IRA in exchange for protection for Gemma and the club. His deal ties the Belfast search to the club's legal jeopardy, even as the danger around Tara and the others grows.
While the club searches Belfast, Salazar takes Tara hostage in Charming. Jax finds Abel and brings him home, then kills Salazar to save Tara. Before the finale, Stahl kills her partner Amy Tyler to protect her arrangement with Jax, and Gemma turns herself in, threatening the deal. Jax and the club appear headed for a long sentence, but the finale reveals that his apparent betrayal was part of a plan: Opie kills Stahl, Chibs kills Jimmy, and the Sons enter custody with their sentence reduced.
