Their relationship grows serious, and he asks her to move to Paris. Carrie goes, leaving her friends and New York behind, but there she finds herself alone while Petrovsky gives his attention to his art. When Petrovsky accidentally backhands Carrie as she pulls him during an argument, she decides to leave; Big arrives in Paris, and the two return to New York together.
