Season synopsis
Contains spoilers for this season and earlier seasons.
Years after Storybrooke, Lucy finds her adult father Henry and asks him to help her family. He arrives in Seattle’s Hyperion Heights, where a curse has erased the residents’ memories and recast their identities: Henry is a writer, Jacinda is Cinderella, and Lucy is his daughter. Detective Rogers investigates alongside Roni, who is cursed Regina, while Victoria Belfrey works to keep Jacinda and Lucy apart. The season’s flashbacks reveal Victoria’s true identity as Rapunzel Tremaine and connect the city’s residents to a new Enchanted Forest story. As Lucy tries to make Henry believe her, the curse’s hidden history gradually comes into view.
Mother Gothel’s plan to destroy humanity draws Alice, Drizella, Anastasia, and Robin into the conflict. Drizella casts the curse that brings the characters to Hyperion Heights, while Gothel’s scheme to form a coven reaches its culmination there. Rogers is the Wish Realm Hook, whose daughter is Alice. Rumple wants to escape his immortality and reunite with Belle. A phone call to his younger self restores Henry’s memories; his kiss on Regina’s forehead breaks the curse. Alice turns against Gothel and transforms her into a tree. Dr. Facilier then returns Wish Realm Rumple, who attempts to impose unhappy endings. Rumple gives his heart to save Wish Hook and dies, reuniting with Belle. Regina casts a final curse that unites the realms in Storybrooke, and she is crowned the Good Queen.
