Gilberto's arrest leaves Miguel directing the Cali cartel while his brother offers advice from prison. Miguel demands to know whether the failure came from incompetence or betrayal, and the security team must account for every warning it missed. Jorge and Córdova investigate the damaged network, but David treats suspicion as enough reason to torture the people who failed his family.
Peña approaches Christina Jurado as a possible route to her husband. She recognises the danger surrounding Franklin's work and wants protection if they cooperate. Intercepted conversations provide another clue when Franklin uses Papiamento, pointing Peña toward Curaçao. In Mexico, Amado encourages Pacho to consider a future outside Cali's surrender plan. Pacho refuses to abandon the partners who accepted him when others rejected him, choosing loyalty to the organisation.
David and Miguel turn on their own security staff. Calderón is punished, and Córdova is captured after trying to leave with his wife. Jorge argues that his colleague is loyal, but Córdova is killed and his wife is already dead when Jorge reaches her. Miguel promotes Jorge to replace the murdered man, making refusal another potential sign of betrayal. Jorge returns to his family, then calls Feistl and Van Ness at their supposedly secret house. He offers cooperation because remaining useful to Miguel no longer gives his household any safety.
