The shopping-centre bombing turns more of Colombia against Pablo, and demands for his unconditional surrender replace attempts to excuse the violence. Tata remains with the children in protective custody while the attorney general tries to secure a deal that would let the family leave. Gaviria refuses to accept terms from the man responsible for the latest deaths, keeping the pressure on Pablo through his relatives.
Pablo's remaining network begins to collapse. Valeria delivers a radio so that he can speak to Tata, then is killed with her crew by Los Pepes. The Lion is also killed after Cali has taken control of the resources he handled. Blackie's capture gives the investigators information about Pablo's men. La Quica abandons other sicarios during a money run and tries to escape with cash, only to be caught after a chase.
Murphy and Peña offer La Quica a chance to improve his position by leading them to Pablo. The proposed ambush comes close, but Pablo recognises that the contact has been compromised and avoids the meeting point. The officers attack the gathering without finding him. With his family beyond his reach and trusted men dead, captured or willing to betray him, Pablo leaves with Limón. He tells the driver that the others are gone, acknowledging how far his organisation has fallen.
