Krista leads Elliot out of her apartment after killing Vera, leaving his men to discover the body. They take a taxi to a police station, but Elliot cannot bring himself to go inside. Krista offers reassurance before they part. A younger version of Elliot leads him back to the museum where he once played with Angela. There he finds the key to his childhood bedroom, hidden in the wall years earlier. Remembering that small act of resistance helps him recognise that, as a child, he did try to protect himself from his father. He is still struggling to face what he remembered in Krista's apartment.
Janice demands Elliot's location from Darlene and stabs Dom when Darlene refuses. The threat to Dom's family finally makes Darlene cooperate, but the tracked phone leads to Krista's apartment after Elliot has already left. Janice tries to order the family's murder and discovers that nobody is answering. Dom arranged for Deegan to rescue them and kill their captors. She uses the distraction to attack a guard, take his gun and shoot Janice and her men. Dom calls for help and sends Darlene to find Elliot. At Allsafe, Mr. Robot apologises for hiding the abuse. Elliot tells him he was the father he needed and accepts his comfort as the Deus meeting approaches.
