Finding the Real Face

Contains spoilers for this episode and earlier episodes.

Moon-young decides to finish the book with Sang-tae after seeing his drawing of a happy Gang-tae. Sang-tae leaves his part-time job to pursue illustration, and Gang-tae talks about returning to study. Moon-young offers Sang-in a choice between her new manuscript and her mother's last novel. She also visits Hui-jae in prison and tells her that the brothers are her family. Hui-jae's insistence that they are alike no longer controls Moon-young's answer. At the hospital, Sang-tae changes the butterfly on his mural. Finding the Real Face is published, putting his name beside Moon-young's and giving him a finished book to show their mother's memorial tree.

Friends and patients gather at the hospital for the reading, where Moon-young and Sang-tae interrupt their own presentation by arguing over whose turn it is. Director Oh gives them a camper van, fulfilling a wish that once grew out of the brothers' repeated moves. Moon-young and Sang-tae secretly prepare a long trip for Gang-tae, and the three travel together. During the journey, Moon-young apologizes for hurting him and tells him she loves him. Sang-tae then announces that another writer wants his illustrations and asks to return for work while the couple continues traveling. He reminds Gang-tae that each brother belongs to himself. They part affectionately, and Sang-in collects Sang-tae for the next job.
