At the original world's apocalypse, two versions of Martha's arrival unfold. In one she rescues Jonas; in the other, alternate Bartosz stops her outside the house and takes her away. The abandoned Jonas survives in the basement and later works with Claudia and Noah on the God particle. Years of failed experiments leave him desperate. Noah prevents his suicide and insists that Jonas cannot die while his older self already exists. Claudia eventually kills her alternate counterpart and takes her place with Eva, pursuing a way to save Regina.
In the original world's past, the adult Jonas continues the experiments that scar him and lead him towards becoming Adam. Bartosz meets Silja, and their children are Hanno, who becomes Noah, and Agnes. Silja dies giving birth to Agnes. Hannah later arrives with Silja as a child, revealing that she is Jonas's half-sister. Adam kills Hannah and takes the child away. In the post-apocalyptic future, Charlotte and the older Elisabeth abduct baby Charlotte from Noah and the younger Elisabeth, completing the mother-and-daughter loop.
The Martha diverted by Bartosz reaches Eva, who cuts her face to mark the allegiance that will lead her to shoot Jonas. The other Martha remains Adam's prisoner and is consumed by his machine. Adam waits for existence to end, but he is still there. Elderly Claudia then arrives to speak to him. Alongside these events, Tannhaus is shown building a machine in a bunker after losing his family; the connection to the two worlds remains unexplained here.
