With Jeong-hyeok badly wounded, Se-ri refuses Kwang-beom’s demand that they continue to the airport. She drives to a hospital and stays to donate the blood the captain needs, losing her chance to leave with the athletes. While waiting, she finds that he kept a copy of her passport photograph. His survival matters more to her than the carefully arranged journey that brought them to this point.
Jeong-hyeok wakes angry that she is still there, believing their efforts and risks have been wasted. Once he learns about the transfusion, he seeks her out and apologises. Se-ri explains that she wanted to protect him too, and he kisses her. Cheol-gang traces him to the hospital and challenges his use of weapons, but Jeong-hyeok’s father arrives before the officer can take him away.
Seo Dan hears Jeong-hyeok admit that he likes another woman and cannot honestly marry her, yet she refuses to abandon the wedding. Seung-jun takes Se-ri to his residence and claims that her family is relieved she is alive. In Seoul, the shareholder meeting goes ahead and Se-hyeong takes control after their father announces her registered death. Dan then finds a magazine identifying Se-ri, while a flashback connects the music Se-ri remembers from Switzerland to Jeong-hyeok.
